چکیده
Biomass based active adsorbent can be prepared by activation process to adsorb dyes. In this study, using macroalgae as raw material, the biomass activated carbon material was NaOH method methylene blue. The with high specific surface area (1238.491 m2 g?1) characterized BET, XRD, FTIR and XPS. effects of impregnation ratio, amount adsorbent, pH contact time on adsorption activity biochar MB were evaluated. kinetics, molecular dynamics density functional theory discussed. maximum removal efficiency SWAC reached 98.56 % at 30 °C = 5 which is due its large mesoporous slit structure. MD simulation shows that molecules adsorbed layer through face-to-face stacking. DFT calculation subsequent electron structure analysis suggested a synergistic effect ?-? stacking, cation-? interaction, electrostatic interaction could help stabilize molecules. And an excellent capacity graphitic N sites for electronegativity.

Adsorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solutions by Silk Cocoon
This study concerns the performance of cocoons spun by silk worms as a natural adsorbent for removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. To study the adsorption process, the effect of various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, dye initial concentration, and pH of the solution were investigated. According to the experiments, the kinetic data were best described by ...

متن کاملEfficient Removal of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption on Cerium Vanadate Nanoparticles
Cerium vanadate nanoparticles (CVNPs) were used as a solid phase adsorbent for removing methylene blue (MB) from aqueous media. The nanoparticles were obtained through a direct precipitation procedure in aqueous solutions, and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The results proved the product to comprise 25-45 nm particles. Bat...
